The Usui Tradition of Natural Healing
A healing treatment is a deeply relaxing experience, affects all levels of being, and is very enjoyable. Promoting a feeling of peace and well-being and alleviating the symptoms of stress and tension.
Attunements are permanent, allowing the Reiki energy to flow whenever your intention is to heal. It is widely accepted that Reiki not only complements other therapies, but actively increases their healing potential.
The more the Reiki energies are used, the stronger the connection and energies channelled become.
The Reiki path is one of transformation, raising the physical and etheric vibration of the Healers body, mind and spirit; allowing for change and growth in all areas of life. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Spiritual Energy, and has been passed down and taught in the same way since the initiation and development of this system in the 1800’s by Dr Usui.
The origins of this system are to be found in the teachings and practices of Tibetan Buddhism.

Course Information
- All courses must be booked one month in advance
- All Reiki courses must be taken sequentially
- Reiki Advanced and Crystal Reiki are optional courses
- All courses are conducted on weekends between 10:00am and 5:00pm.
- A vegetarian lunch with beverages will be provided.
- Please wear comfortable clothing. Shoes are not worn indoors, so please bring slippers or socks with you.
- Course fee is inclusive of Certification
and Manual.
Practitioner History
A practitioner of the Theravada tradition of Buddhism since 1986, and initiated into the Tibetan Buddhist tradition by H.H. the Dalai Lama in 1995 with further initiations into the Nyingma Lineage by H.H. Penor Rinpoche including the teachings, Initiation and Empowerment
of the Medicine Buddha (Men-La).
As a Reiki Master Rachael has been teaching certificated Reiki Healing courses since 1997 at The Shen Tao Clinic of Oriental Medicine.
Rachael is also a member of a Western Mystery School
that brings together the spiritual teachings
of the East and the West.
Oriental Medicine views life as an integrated whole with an emphasis on teaching methods of self-cultivation.
Reiki First Degree
This is the first step on the inner journey to Self Healing, and Healing others. Students receive permanent Attunement to the Reiki energy.
This course covers everything you need to know to enable you to give direct hands-on Reiki Healing to yourself, family and friends.
Reiki Second Degree
A more advanced application of the energy. The Sacred Symbols work on the subtle levels enabling absent healing, and healing on the mental and emotional levels. This enhances and broadens the students practice of Reiki.
Reiki Advanced
Aimed at those who have worked with Reiki for some time and would like the space to explore and integrate the Sacred Symbols to another level and in a wider application. Many advanced techniques for working with Reiki. Students must have reached the Second or Third Degree.
Crystal Reiki
A complete Crystal Healing course. No prior knowledge of crystals is required.
The special relationship between these two energies is profound, beautiful, and very powerful.
Reiki Masters
This final step for those who have developed their skills to a high level and undergone practitioner and Healer development training.
Acceptance for Masters is by interview only.
Tibetan Reiki Masters
For Usui Reiki Masters, an opportunity to link with another lineage of Master energies, expanding knowledge and Healing potential.
Karuna Reiki Masters
Attune to the energy of Compassionate Action - this energy has an exceptional quality of profound peace and calm.
A channeled development, broadening the healing potential still further. All four levels are taught together on this course.
Training & Development
All courses must be taken in sequence, except for Reiki Advanced and Crystal Reiki which are optional and may be taken after Reiki Masters.
Further courses and workshops on Reiki and other related subjects will be available for all students who wish to continue their study and development.
