Therapeutic methods used:

  • Acupuncture - the insertion of fine needles into specific points along the Jing-Luo (energy pathways) to regulate the movement of energy within the body, affecting the balance and well-being of the whole body.
  • Oriental Herbal Medicine - prescriptions of pills, powders, or dried loose herbs. They have widely recognised benefits in helping various conditions.
  • Auricular Acupuncture - Uses the ear to treat the whole body.
  • Moxibustion - a method of applying heat to the body when there is internal cold. Very relaxing.
  • Cupping - An ancient therapy to relieve congestion.
  • Electro Acupuncture – Adding stimulation to the treatment.
  • Cosmetic Acupuncture - helping to aid circulation to the facial tissues and smooth out lines.
  • Tui-Na (Massage) - based on the same principles as Acupuncture it may replace or supplement where appropriate, stimulating the internal organs via the meridian complex. Deep tissue techniques for postural re-alignment. Vitality and resistance to disease is raised.
  • Reiki Healing – a hands on relaxation therapy, deep relaxation for mind and body. Very effective for stress and life issues.

Oriental Medicine:

Oriental Medicine views and treats the body as an integrated whole, and as such aims to treat the root cause of illness, as well as alleviate the symptoms.

Recommendations for treatments are based on examination of the tongue and pulse, symptoms, medical history, life style.

Length of Treatment varies depending on the problem, severe or chronic conditions may require long-term treatment.

Treatment Plan - after consultation, the practitioner will advise the patient on the most suitable treatment for their condition, this may combine any of the methods stated.

Code of Practice - the practitioner is bound by the British Acupuncture Council's code of practice. Only sterile 'one use' disposable needles are used and discarded after each use.
